Applying for / Continuing Benefits

皮马人有 specialized Veteran Advisors and plenty of resources to help you get the VA education benefits you deserve to help pay for college and earn a degree or certificate.

If you have never attended college, follow these steps so you can start using 你的 VA education benefits.

This applies if you are a veteran benefit recipient (VBR) under Chapters 30, 31, 33, 35 and 1606.

  1. 申请 VA Education Benefits.
  2. 向PCC申请.
  3. 设置你的 MyPima account and access the 退伍军人选项卡. This will allow you to monitor the status of 你的 Certificate of Eligibility (COE), 成绩单, Veteran Benefit Recipient (VBR) orientation, satisfactory academic progress, certification.
  4. Request official 成绩单
Have these documents sent to:
Pima 社区 College
District Office – 入学s and Records
4905 E Broadway Blvd. STE b - 220
Tucson, AZ 85709-1120

Electronic 成绩单 may be sent to [email protected].
  1. Attend a VBR orientation session, which is required to be certified for classes. Register in the MyPima 退伍军人选项卡.
  2. 与某人见面 veterans advisor as soon as you receive 你的 Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to discuss how 你的 academic goals can be supported with 你的 veterans education benefits.  
  3. Register for classes.
  4. Submit a veteran certification worksheet. The worksheet is in the 退伍军人选项卡 in MyPima.

Your veterans advisor will complete 你的 MyDegreePlan document for all approved classes once you have submitted the certification worksheet.

If you received benefits at PCC during the last semester, follow these steps to continue 你的 benefits.

  1. 与某人见面 Veteran Advisor to review 你的 Veterans Benefit Recipient (VBR) certification and discuss how 你的 academic goals can be supported with 你的 VA education benefits.  
  2. Register for the courses that meet the objectives stated in 你的 MyDegreePlan report.
  3. Complete a new VA certification worksheet. It is available through 你的 MyPima 退伍军人选项卡. You must submit a VA certification worksheet every semester.

Your Veteran Advisor will complete 你的 MyDegreePlan for all approved classes once you have submitted the certification worksheet.

You are a returning student if you

  • previously received benefits from Pima, but have not attended Pima for 3 consecutive semesters or more.
  • have attended another institution since you last attended Pima.

Follow these steps to reactivate 你的 benefits.

  1. If you’ve used 你的 VA benefits at another institution since you were last here, you will need to notify the VA that you are now at PCC.  VA Education Benefits.
  2. Re-向PCC申请.
  3. Re-activate 你的 MyPima account and access the 退伍军人选项卡. This will allow you to monitor status of 你的 Certificate of Eligibility (COE), 成绩单, Veteran Benefit Recipient (VBR) orientation, satisfactory academic progress, and certification.
  4. Request any new or updated official 成绩单 that you haven't previously submitted:
